Nobody pays for anything on this site

There are no partner links here at all — not one. This page explains which programmes exist in this market, what we turned down, and the single condition under which that could ever change.

Most sites that carry a page with this title are explaining how they get paid. This one is explaining why it does not.

Far Chair has no affiliate links, no sponsored placements, no paid reviews, no advertising and no commercial relationship with any clinic, dentist, chain, agency or booking platform. The file in this site's code that would hold partner links is empty, the build produces a redirect map with zero entries in it, and there is no /go/ link anywhere in the published site to count.

Why an empty file, specifically

Not because nobody pays. This market pays reasonably well, and we went and looked at what is on offer before deciding.

What is on offer, in shape rather than detail, is this. The large dental-tourism aggregators that rank for every destination search are paid by the clinic side — a fee, a commission or a share of the case, when a patient books. One large aggregator publishes no live publisher programme at all. One referral portal asks you to submit a prospective patient's contact details by hand and pays a reward "varies by procedure cost", which is to say a figure it does not publish, at its discretion, only if the patient completes treatment. At the smaller end there are single-clinic schemes paying a flat fee per referred patient who completes treatment — a fee that is a tiny fraction of a case running into thousands. (We have not re-verified any of those rates at source and therefore print none of them.)

Every one of those arrangements has the same structure. We would be paid more when you go than when you stay, and paid nothing at all if this site talked you out of it.

That is an ordinary conflict in most niches and a disqualifying one here. The most valuable sentence on this site is some version of take this plan to a dentist at home first, and be prepared to walk away — and a site earning a completion fee has a quiet interest in you not doing that. We would rather remove the interest than manage it.

The list of what is refused

  • Every clinic and clinic chain, in every country, paid or unpaid. None is named, ranked, recommended or linked. We have examined none of them.
  • Every booking platform, aggregator, facilitator and medical-travel agency, including the ones that would be easiest to work with and rank best.
  • Every referral scheme that pays on a completed procedure, which is most of them, and which is the worst-shaped incentive of the lot.
  • Destination marketing of any kind, including tourism boards and the national health-tourism bodies whose registers this site tells you to consult. Pointing at a register is not an endorsement and must not become one.
  • Sponsored content, paid reviews and "featured clinic" slots, at any price.
  • Advertising. There is no ad network on these pages, which is also why there is nothing here trying to identify you.

What this costs, said plainly

It means Far Chair currently earns nothing. That is a real commercial outcome and not a pose, and the owner of this site knows it: the lane was planned on the understanding that it has no honest way to be paid today.

It also means this page is not a formality. If an income ever appeared here it would have to be a different kind — something that pays the same whether a reader books or goes home, disclosed above the first mention of it, and named on this page before it went live, not after. Rewriting this page is the price of changing the policy, and that is the point of writing it this way.

The answer that pays nothing, on every page

Because there is nothing to sell, the advice on this site can be the boring correct advice without anybody having to be brave about it:

  • See a dentist where you live, before you book anything, and get an opinion from somebody with no stake in the answer.
  • A dental school clinic or a community health centre is often the cheapest real option at home, and neither sends us a penny.
  • Deciding, after reading all of this, that the treatment is not worth having at all is a legitimate outcome. Several of the alternatives on the "Turkey teeth" page remove no tooth structure whatsoever.
  • If you do go, the money that most improves the odds is spent on a second opinion and a return flight, not on a bigger package.

Marketing rules this site would be bound by

For UK and EU readers, advertising rules require that a marketing communication is obviously identifiable as one. In the United States, a material connection between a publisher and a seller must be disclosed clearly and close to the recommendation. Neither rule is doing any work here at present, because there is nothing on this site to identify or disclose — but they are the standard any future arrangement would be held to, and they are recorded here so the bar is written down in advance.
